Coote, Hiley, Jemmett Limited has been in existence in Bracebridge since 1885 when it was established by William Galbraith, O.L.S. The firm provides professional surveying services to both permanent and seasonal residents as well as area municipalities, developers, contractors, utility companies, and the legal community.

John obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Surveying Science from the University of Toronto in 1977 and received his license to practice as an Ontario Land Surveyor in 1979. In 1982 John became a partner in the firm of Coote & Jackson Limited and today is President of Coote, Hiley, Jemmett Limited. John is a past chairperson of the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors Academic & Experience Requirements Committee and the Discipline Committee.

Doug attended Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and the University of Toronto and received his license to practice as an Ontario Land Surveyor in 1983. From 1985 to 1989 Doug worked at the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors as Assistant Manager, promoted to Manager, of the Survey Review Department. Doug joined the firm of Coote, Jackson & Hiley Limited in 1990 and in 1991 he became a partner bringing with him experience and knowledge gathered in both the public and private sectors. Doug is past chair of the North-Eastern Regional Group of the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors and the Muskoka/Parry Sound Group. |
